My 1950 Ford F-6

I bought this truck with the idea that I could haul my old tractors on it, either to take them to shows or when I bought a "new" one. It is also kind of a trip to the past for me, since I learned to drive in a 1948 Ford F-5 grain truck on my dad's farm. The 1948 thru 1950 models all have the same basic body style and interior. I drove it 75 miles home when I bought it, down Interstate 405 thru the high tech corridor that is home to Microsoft, among others. It was quite a ride, since the brakes were leaking and the master cylinder had to be topped off occasionally. I was probably danged lucky it didn't catch fire, as I later discovered the wire harness had several areas where the insulation was missing from wires, and the fuel shutoff valve leaked badly.
